Our Story

Growing up in Canada, Sexy Pickles founder Lyndsay was spoiled with the kind of gherkins that crunched when you bit into them, perfectly sour and completely sugar-free, thanks to her grandmother Nora’s recipe - the OG Pickle Queen.

But when she moved to the UK, she searched high and low, from supermarket shelves to specialty shops, only to find soft, overly sweet, imported gherkins that didn’t come close. So, she did what any pickle-obsessed person would do—she made her own.

But why stop there? She wanted to push boundaries - she started to experiment. Spiced Pickled Grapes, Sweet & Spicy Pickled Pineapple and Sweet & Salty Pickled Garlic - flavours designed to shake up everything you think you know about pickles.

It’s about turning an old-school pantry staple into the star of the show.

2019

The Gherkin Crisis Lyndsay, the founder of Sexy Pickles, moved from Canada to the UK only to discover the gherkins just didn’t hit the same. The crunch was missing and they were sweet. She was used to crunchy, sour gherkins, or better known as 'dill pickles' in Canada, and new she could do better.
